Our friend Jeff invited us to go canoe camping one weekend while Lauren was out being doted on in Chicago. Here we are unloading all the gear, including the 75-pound canoe that I had to lug from lake to lake. At least I had Michele to carry a lot of the heavy stuff in a pack -- poor Jeff had to carry all his stuff plus his canoe (albeit slightly lighter than the Bismark I had rented...)
