August 2 was a gorgeous Saturday, and I decided to try to climb Williwaw. At 5450, Williwaw is the tallest peak in the front range of the Chugach Mts. in the Anchorage bowl. It is pretty far back there and I was going to attempt a difficult route by first climbing The Ramp, and then following a craggy ridge for 1.5 miles to Williwaw. In this pic you can see The Ramp (to the left of my L shoulder) and the ridge that curves around behind me. Click HERE to view a topo map with my route posted on it.
